Counselor, MS, NCC, LCPC
Thanks for visiting my site. I’m Leila Fazeli-Tabrizchi, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I have a BA in Psychology from McGill University and an MS in Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. I am a member of the ASRM (American Society of Reproductive Medicine) and a member and support group leader for RESOLVE (the National Infertility Association). My approach is compassionate, respectful and insight-oriented. I strive to be open, supportive and warm, which makes me easy to talk to about difficult topics.
My approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy, existential therapy, and proven relaxation techniques. I also believe there is a place for coaching in counseling. Sometimes you need a cheerleader more than a counselor! I am here to customize your therapy session to you and your unique situation and needs. My goal is to improve your psychological wellbeing in the fewest sessions possible. I believe therapy can be short-term and effective. Much of the work of therapy takes place between sessions. Therefore, I will have reputable resources and voluntary homework assignments for you. The more invested you are, the faster you will see results!
I provide therapy is English, Farsi and (Swiss) German, as I am originally Persian but grew up in Switzerland. My international background makes me aware of your cultural roots since (family) culture and religion are the two most powerful influences in our lives. When I am not studying languages and cultures, I enjoy interior design and spending time with our family dog.

I struggled with infertility and know first-hand about the psychological impact of infertility and its treatment.
Infertility is considered a life crises, and it is incredibly difficult to process alone. You too deserve to have a safe place to “unload” and feel understood by someone who has been in your shoes.
My approach is supportive. I use existential, CBT and relaxation techniques. I also do coaching in sessions. I will cheer you on!
